belektro Awards for Smart Electrical Systems set to return at belektro 2016 in Berlin
• belektro invites presentations of smart electrical systems
• The deadline for entries is 2 September
• Three winners to attend the awards ceremony on 11 October
Berlin, 18 August 2016 – Smart systems will be the dominant theme of this year’s belektro. Besides demonstrating the ’E-Haus’, hosting the Smart Home Forum and showcasing the smart products of exhibitors, in collaboration with the Berlin/Brandenburg electrical professions and Landesgruppe Berlin-Brandenburg des Elektro-Fachgrosshandels (VEG) e.V. belektro is organising a new award that recognises smart electrical systems.
The competition targets specialists from the electrical and electronics professions who have recently designed or implemented an intelligent technical solution. Entries need not represent luxury, high-end technology. Instead, they should demonstrate the use of intelligent systems and components that communicate with each other in the home. Be they smart solutions for blinds, an intelligent energy storage system or a lighting design that reacts to natural light depending on the time of day – these are the kind of ideas welcomed by the new belektro Awards.
Candidates representing the electrical professions have until 2 September 2016 to submit their entries for the 2016 belektro Awards for Smart Electrical Systems.
In mid-September a jury will examine the entries and select the best smart electrical systems. The judges will consider all the professions contributing to the intelligent development of old and new buildings: the electrical professions, electrical wholesalers, the housing industry, the energy sector and specialists.
The awards will be presented in three categories: to companies with up to 10 employees, with 10 to 30 employees, and with over 30 employees. The winner of each category will receive an award and 500 euros. The awards will be presented at the opening event on 11 October 2016 at 10 a.m. on the Stand (212) of the Regional Guild Association of Berlin/Brandenburg in the ’E-Haus’ in Hall 3.2.
The conditions of participation and an entry form for the belektro Awards for Smart Electrical Systems are available from the website at http://www.belektro.de/FuerBesucher/Events/
