The crisis is over! |
That would be the news everyone has been waiting for. No, I’m afraid I can't announce that today. But if we Berliners don't have any practice in crisis management, who does? "More Berlin" is the name of our new newsletter and also the motto of our campaign here at Messe Berlin Guest Events. It is this MORE Berlin that inspires us time and again to look for new paths and to follow them with enthusiasm. In the last few weeks of spring, the first tender shoots of hope have already blossomed, and I'm not just talking about Hertha remaining in the 1st Bundesliga. There will be more about that in a moment in this newsletter. But first, I hope you enjoy reading it! I'm also always happy to receive your feedback, because only together will we as event professionals be able to succeed.

Thanks to falling numbers of new Corona infections, the MICE industry is about to RESTART and the Capital Congress is playing a crucial role. As part of a pilot project, the congress will test the practical use of a digital certificate for antigen rapid tests and COVID-19 vaccinations. This will give 500 participants the opportunity to attend a face-to-face event at our CityCube Berlin after a long dry spell. So there is movement in the congress location Berlin! Hertha BSC first-class & digital |
Two weeks ago, Hertha BSC fought to stay in the 1st Bundesliga, and two days ago they entered new digital territory at their general meeting in the Messe Berlin Studio. For the first time, around 40,000 Hertha club members had the opportunity to follow their president Gegenbauer in a live stream and find out about the club's current situation. Two thumbs up were given not only for the first-class organization by our project manager Binnaz Akar (pictured here with president Gegenbauer) but also for the setting and technical implementation. It smells like a rematch!

Berlin support for the MICE industry |
An event industry in lockdown is no event industry! And even though we are seeing the first openings and a cautious return to normality these days, many event planners are still under massive pressure. The state of Berlin wants to counteract this pressure by setting up the Congress Fund Berlin. 'Everything for the restart' of the MICE industry is the motto from now on. The focus is expressly on attendance events! What did our boss say in the foreword? Go for it!

When two of the most successful German rappers stand up for female power and more diversity, the stage for this message can't be spectacular enough! In this respect, the decision for the +palais.Berlin as the only filming location for the current music video "MADONNA - The Movement" was perfectly placed! Brought to life by fashion portal About You and inspired by the number one song of the same name by rapper Bausa and Apache 207, the film presents 35 dancers whose choreography sends a strong message that every woman is unique. At least as unique as our location.
