Messe Berlin: Keen demand for events from April onwards

Messe Berlin kicks off the second quarter with FRUIT LOGISTICA, BUS2BUS, DMEA and ILA as well as numerous other events and congresses.

With restrictions due to be eased and spring around the corner, the Messe Berlin events calendar is increasingly busy. In April, the leading international trade fair FRUIT LOGISTICA will be the first in-house event to kick off the second quarter. From 5 to 7 April, with close to 2,000 exhibitors from 88 countries, the international fresh produce industry will be gathering on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

The federal and state authorities’ plan to phase out restrictions forms the basis for the successful organisation of this trade fair. FRUIT LOGISTICA is an international event for trade visitors which attracts large numbers beyond European borders. The fact that these countries frequently employ Covid vaccines recognised by the WHO but not approved in Europe is why the relaxations introduced by policymakers are so important for the trade fair industry.

“We can sense every day that things are picking up again. After two years of the pandemic the desire to meet in-person again on the grounds is greater than ever“, said Martin Ecknig, CEO of Messe Berlin. “The current relaxations are a clear political signal and give us more room to manoeuvre. The plan to phase out restrictions lets us regain urgently needed planning certainty, which we can see in the rising demand for our in-house events. Interest in congress and guest events is increasing too.”
