Berlin Radio Tower becomes Germany’s most spectacular wedding venue for its 100th anniversary

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Berlin’s iconic Radio Tower (Funkturm), the landmark will transform into one of Germany’s most extraordinary wedding venues on June 6, 2026. Six Berlin couples will exchange vows high above the city skyline, creating an unforgettable experience above the rooftops of the capital.

On June 6, 2026, six Berlin couples will say “I do” in a location as unique as their own love stories. At a height of 55 meters, in the restaurant of Berlin’s Radio Tower, they will be married with breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Through this special event, Messe Berlin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic landmark, which, like Messe Berlin itself, stands for innovation, exchange, and connection.

Six Weddings and a Message of Love Above Berlin

The date itself makes the occasion even more memorable: 6/6/26 symbolizes love, unity, and a moment to cherish forever. As a result, the date has been highly sought after in Berlin’s registry offices for months. More than 100 Berlin couples applied to take part in the wedding initiative organized by rbb 88.8 and Messe Berlin—from young couples embarking on their journey together to lifelong Berliners celebrating a second great love. Six couples have been selected to exchange vows on Saturday.

Those not among the chosen couples can still celebrate June 6 as a day of love. As a romantic highlight, Berlin’s Radio Tower will illuminate the city skyline with a special light show from sunset until midnight—a glowing message of love from Messe Berlin to all Berliners and visitors alike.

Official Civil Ceremonies Conducted by Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Registry Office

The civil wedding ceremonies on June 6 will be conducted by the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Registry Office, which has officially designated the Radio Tower as a temporary branch office for this special occasion.

Registrar Sylvia Brenke is looking forward to the event:
"Wedding ceremonies are always something very special—but at a height of 55 meters, with this view and on such a remarkable occasion, every single ceremony becomes an unforgettable moment. It is a great pleasure for me to accompany these couples at such an extraordinary location."
