Marie-Christine von Hahn Appointed to the Supervisory Board of Messe Berlin
Marie-Christine von Hahn, Director General of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI), has joined the Supervisory Board of Messe Berlin, further strengthening the body with her extensive industry expertise.
Messe Berlin has appointed Marie-Christine von Hahn to its Supervisory Board. She succeeds Ulrike Niggemann, Managing Director of Fruitnet Media International GmbH, who has stepped down from her position.
Since 2024, Marie-Christine von Hahn has served as Director General of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI), where she represents the interests of more than 300 companies in the sector. Prior to this role, she held senior positions at Aurubis and worked as a research associate in the German Bundestag as well as at Wintershall.

“By appointing Marie-Christine von Hahn, the Supervisory Board of Messe Berlin gains a highly accomplished expert with an international perspective and strong strategic expertise,” says Franziska Giffey, Senator for Economic Affairs and Deputy Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Messe Berlin. “Her many years of experience in the aviation and aerospace industry, combined with her clear focus on innovation and transformation, will greatly benefit the continued development of our trade fair and congress location. She also represents the ILA as a flagship event for our metropolitan region and as Europe’s leading trade show for the future-oriented sectors of aviation, space, security, and defense. I very much look forward to working together for Messe Berlin.”
Marie-Christine von Hahn maintains close ties with Messe Berlin: since 1992, BDLI has co-organized the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) in the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region at BER Airport in partnership with Messe Berlin. The next ILA will take place from June 10 to 14.
