Thirty years after its first edition, InnoTrans 2026 will be dominated by the global growth of the rail industry. The opening ceremony will be held under the title “Mobility on a global scale – shaping projects and growth opportunities.” From September 22 to 25, the most important innovations and trends in the international rail transport and mobility industry will once again be presented at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

As the world's leading trade fair for transport technology, InnoTrans brings together decision-makers, industry experts, and technology leaders from all continents to discuss key future issues in mobility and drive solutions forward.

In its anniversary year, the leading trade fair is again in high demand. More than six months before the event, the entire 200,000 square metres of exhibition space – including 42 halls, outdoor and track areas, and the bus display in the Summer Garden – are fully booked.

“The enormous interest from industry, politics, and science shows how great the need is for international exchange and forward-looking solutions for sustainable mobility,” says Kerstin Schulz, Director of InnoTrans: “The fact that InnoTrans is completely booked up at such an early stage is, in my view, a strong signal for our work over the past 30 years.”

In 2026, the focus will be on technologies that are transforming rail transport in a sustainable way. The main topics will include autonomous local public transport, cybersecurity, robotics, 3D printing, and the role of artificial intelligence.

In addition to the world firsts presented at the trade fair, innovative night train concepts will be among the highlights of InnoTrans in 2026. Several exhibitors will present new mock-ups and solutions for comfortable and sustainable overnight travel. Digitalization, data use, sustainability, and electrification will also play a central role. In keeping with this theme, the InnoTrans Hackathon will celebrate its premiere. Under the motto “AI on Track,” participants will search for practical and creative AI solutions to specific challenges facing the mobility industry.

With the Young Generation Round Table, InnoTrans Campus 2026 is launching a new networking format for the first time. Young industry networks are invited to exchange ideas, make contacts, and develop perspectives for the future of mobility on Thursday, September 24, 2026, starting at 3 p.m. in the Oktoberfest Restaurant in Hall 5.3. The first 50 participants will also receive a free drink from InnoTrans Campus.

InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology, held every two years in Berlin.
