Palais - The Grand Ballroom

Designed by Bruno Grimmek, the Palais am Funkturm was built in 1956/57, and was one of the best-looking and most modern venues hosting events and guests in Germany. Featuring an unusual room layout and the charm of the Fifties, this listed building, the "Palais am Funkturm", is a unique venue for balls, banquets and receptions, congress events and lectures.

With a retractable staircase, partitions and a chandelier adjustable for height, Berlin’s largest ballroom offers outstanding flexibility when it comes to organising available space. The Fifties and Sixties are back in vogue here, with curved designs, period decorations and a large patio complete with fountains. The Palais am Funkturm has room for up to 2,400 guests attending either a ballroom event or conference. Experience the unique atmosphere under a ceiling decorated with gold leaf.

An impressive hall of honour adjacent to the Palais (Hall 19), measuring over 31 metres in height, is the ideal location for cocktail receptions and show effects. You can also entertain your guests at a buffet restaurant and bar.

The room is 41.6 metres in length, 21.4 metres wide and 31.8 metres high, although statistics can only hint at the impression this hall makes on the onlooker.

The net area is 909 m², the maximum floor load is 500 kg/m².
